Accessibility Statement for the Road Platform
Road B.V. is committed to making its digital services accessible, in accordance with the Dutch legislation transposing Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
This accessibility statement applies to the Road Platform, the web-based interface available to registered users for managing charging services, tokens, subscriptions, invoices, and related account settings.
COMPLIANCE STATUS
The Road Platform UI is partially compliant with the applicable accessibility requirements as set out in the Dutch implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549.
This partial compliance is due to the non-conformities outlined below. We are actively working to resolve these issues as part of our ongoing product development and legal compliance efforts.
NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
Based on an accessibility assessment, the following accessibility issues have been identified:
- Color contrast: Certain interface elements, such as the login and registration buttons, do not meet the minimum required contrast ratio, which may limit accessibility for users with low vision or colour blindness.
- Missing heading level 1: The dashboard currently lacks a semantic heading structure beginning with an tag, which is essential for screen reader navigation.
- Landmark regions: Some content sections are not properly grouped within ARIA landmarks, which affects navigability for screen reader and keyboard-only users.
These issues are known and scheduled for resolution. Road is committed to continuous accessibility improvements and expects to address these gaps in upcoming releases.
ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES WE ARE COMPLIANT WITH
The following mandatory accessibility requirements have been implemented:
Perceivability Text alternatives for non-text content (e.g., icons in the token ordering interface). Semantic content structure (e.g., charging location data also available in structured list or table format). Sufficient colour contrast and resizable text.
Operability Full keyboard navigation across all controls (buttons, menus, filters, forms). No unexpected timeouts or auto-logouts without warning. Visible focus indicators for tab-based navigation.
Understandability Use of clear, jargon-free language and intuitive labelling. Predictable button and link behaviour. Input errors clearly identified with suggested corrections.
Robustness Support for screen readers and magnification tools. Valid HTML and proper ARIA roles for compatibility with assistive technologies. No use of deprecated or unstable code that might affect future access.
Document Accessibility Contracts, terms and conditions, and invoices generated through the platform are available in an accessible format with appropriate tagging, headings, and structure.
